Building opportunities together.
Our City, Our Future,
Your Voice on City Council
MY PRIORITIES
Responsive to Residents
The 4th Ward has been fortunate to have active, informed participants in city government. I look forward to being a voice for our Ward on the City Council, demonstrating a responsiveness for our residents, listening to community concerns and navigating issues through to a solution. I’ll keep you updated on city happenings and gather your input when important decisions need to be made. It is so important to have a respectful dialogue to build a consensus and reach good decisions for all.

Public Safety
I am a strong advocate for keeping Elmhurst safe for 4th ward families and all residents. Safety has been highlighted as the highest priority in Elmhurst. It’s important to maintain and strengthen our efforts to create safe streets for our children and users of our roadways. In our ward, I would engage residents to help identify areas of concern they may observe. We need to continue to provide our police and fire departments with the training and tools they need to continue their outstanding work of keeping Elmhurst a safe place to live and work.
Strong Fiscal Management
I will use my experience to carefully review funding requests and infrastructure improvements. Elmhurst has maintained a healthy financial position for some time. We have had new developments built in the recent past and tax revenues from that growth will likely keep our revenues in balance. We need to create budgets that promote sustainable economic growth, minimize debt and prepare for future obligations. Strong intergovernmental relationships maximize how we can best serve our residents and eliminate duplication of services, saving taxpayers money.

As Alderman, I plan to focus on strong fiscal management. Two ways I would do that are:
-Encourage responsible growth to keep the City's revenues in balance. During the budget process, extend a focus on creating budgets that promote sustainable economic growth, minimize debt, and prepare for future obligations.
-Work towards strong intergovernmental relationships to maximize how we can best serve our residents, eliminate duplication of services, and save taxpayers money.
Early voting is in process and mail ballots are arriving - both can done at Elmhurst City Hall (or any DuPage location) M-F from 8-7, weekends 9-5 through March 31. If you are heading out of town for Spring Break, please vote early. Election Day (last day to vote) is April 1. Thanks for your support!
